Hello! I am proud to announce that I am down 5 lbs ( from 140 to 135) in my first two weeks of dieting! Things are going really great, and I can see definate changes already!

I just recieved my suit from Caroline at http://www.ccfitwear.com/ . It is beautiful and fits perfectly. I will try and post some pictures with it on soon! She always does such a great job. Now, it is my job to pick out a pattern and stone the suit. With the suit comes a finality of the upcoming show. That means that it is on!

It was a great week for me in the gym too! After taking a week off from lifting, I hit the gym hard! I have been so sore, but good sore! I am feeling very strong and confident.
I have included the poster for my next show. You can check out their website at: http://www.greatlakesnaturalbodybuilding.com/ for more info. I have printed out, and filled out my entry form. Now all I have to do is mail it in! Ok folks! It’s serious now!
I hope that everyone has a safe and wonderful weekend!

Hello y’all! I was lucky enough to spend the last week with my family, in the Boundary Waters. The BWCAW ( Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness), is in Northern Minnesota and Canada. We have been going there as a family for the last 14 years! We rent a cabin for the week, go boating, fishing, canoeing and hiking. It was so wonderful and relaxing! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family!

I am also very lucky to have a photographer in the family, my mom! She specializes in weddings, but also does family portraits, and will occasionally do regular portraits as well. You can check out her website at http://www.annethatcherphotography.com/. We took a few pictures by a waterfall off of the Echo Trail. She is so talented, and really loves what she does!

I had a great week dieting! No, really, I am doing very well. It is now very easy for me to get up, cook all my meals for the day, and pack my cooler. I did miss out on a few treats, like my famous bread pudding, cake and eating at my favorite restaurant in Ely, The Chocolate Moose, but I know that in the end, it will be worth it!

Today, I am back in the gym, and working hard! Catching up on my emails and such too. We were so blessed with great weather up there! Now it is cold, rainy, and dreary. The perfect weather to catch up on things! I hope that everyone had a safe and wonderful weekend! God Bless!

Contest Diet and Photo Shoot

Posted by admin · 1 Comment

Ok, so I have been on my contest diet for almost a week. I am proud to report that I haven’t had anything that I wasn’t supposed to, and that I didn’t experience any weird cravings, or starvation hunger pangs! So it is going well.
I just got some of my pictures back from a photo shoot that I did with Josh at Stokesfoto. We had horrible weather, but we got a couple great pictures. He was so nice to work with. And I look forward to working with him in the future. I will have all of the pictures posted in my photo shoot gallery soon. But, here’s a preview!
I hope that everyone is having a great weekend. I am off to the Boundary Waters next week for a little vacation, and some quality time with my wonderful family! I will be doing some pictures up there too, they will be posted when I come back. God Bless.

Contest Diet Starts Today

Ok, so it’s the big day today. I am starting a brand new contest diet today. I wrote my goals down in my journal. So that when I am feeling a little weak, I can look back at them, and remember why I am doing this! It is really more mental for me than anything. A few of my goals are:

  • To come in leaner, look better, and be more confident.
  • To present a great and unique total package.
  • Stick to my diet 100% of the time.
  • Push myself to the limit at the gym. Make sure that I put all I have into my workouts, and leave the gym with nothing left to give.
  • To remember my goals in my weak moments. Remember that bad food choices negatively affect my goals.
  • Remember that there is a WNBF Pro Card, and Overall Figure title that would “taste” better than anything that I can put in my mouth.
  • To ask God for his strength when I am struggling.
  • To pray for personal strength, determination, drive, ambition, perserverence, and mental strength.

Ok, there they are. I am the kind of person that believes in giving 100%, or nothing at all. What is the point in doing something, and not doing it to the fullest of your ability? When I get to my contest, I want to look back at the preceding 12 weeks, and know, without a doubt, I gave it all I could. So that I never have to wonder “what if ?”.

I am starting out at 140 lbs, and 15% bodyfat. I will post some progress pics as soon as I get them taken.

Please feel free to email me at tara@taraathatcher.com with any questions, comments, encouragement, or just to say ” hi “. Any support is greatly appreciated. God Bless.
